VIVO-FORTO (LIFE-FORCE)

a non-profit organization

To the Heads of States and our Fellow Human beings:

In the light of the atrocities and conflicts taking place around the world, we urgently insist that it is our excessively divergent understanding of different concepts of God and of the World which have contributed largely to much of the violence and consequent human suffering.

The realization of the existence of God has provided moral, emotional, intellectual and psychological sustenance for many of us. To impose the teachings of one sect or a certain way of life has proven injurious to our global living as one family. Thus to claim that any one of our teachers/ preceptors or their followers has the sole grasp on Truth is false.

We, therefore, resolve:

If we human beings hope to live in unity and harmony, the following facts have to be understood & widely disseminated :

1. We all share common ancestors.

2. Hence, one God for all, or none at all or each for his/her own God concept.

Therefore, we strongly urge that:

1. We learn the good teachings of all the wise beings.

2. Every human being be made aware of the distorted beliefs carried over from childhood.

3. Let us meditate/pray together to the source of our life based upon psychological and neuro-theological principles.

4. All should be educated to be aware of drug abuse and superstitious beliefs and encouraged to develop a scientific outlook.

5. Anthropologists, linguists, neuro-theologists, philosophers, psychologists and sociologists et al from all over the world should deliberate and evolve a common understanding about the praying and meditative mind and the nature of Ultimate Reality. This Truth should then be communicated and shared with the rest of the humanity.

6. The scholars will also explore the pitfalls of the praying and meditative mind and its vulnerability to hypnosis, self-hypnosis, illusions, delusions and hallucinations etc.

Sincerely, Friends of Vivoforto (=Life Force)

Brain Chemicals

Serotonin

It is a chemical that helps maintain a "happy feeling," and seems to help keep our moods under control by helping with sleep, calming anxiety, and relieving. It is a neurotransmitter, involved in the transmission of nerve impulses . It is manufactured in your body using the amino acid tryptophan. Release of serotonin or other drugs (depending on the type of nerve) causes the other nerve to fire and continue the message along the "cable"..

Acetylcholine

Acetylcholine is the neurotransmitter produced by neurons referred to as cholinergic neurons. In the peripheral nervous system acetylcholine plays a role in skeletal muscle movement, as well as in the regulation of smooth muscle and cardiac muscle. In the central nervous system acetylcholine is believed to be involved in learning, memory, and mood.

Dopamine

Dopamine is the neurotransmitter needed for healthy assertiveness and sexual arousal, proper immune and autonomic nervous system function. Dopamine is important for motivation and a sense of readiness to meet life's challenges.
One of the most vulnerable key neurotransmitters, dopamine levels are depleted by stress or poor sleep. Alcohol, caffeine, and sugar all seem to diminish dopamine activity in the brain. It's also easily oxidized, therefore eat plenty of fruits and vegetables whose antioxidants help protect dopamine-using neurons from free radical damage. More and more healthcare professionals recommend supplementing with vitamins C and E and other antioxidants.
Age-related cognitive decline is associated with dopamine changes in the brain. People whose hands tremble from Parkinson's disease have a diminished ability to synthesize dopamine, which is crucial to fine muscle coordination. Attention deficits are also connected to dopamine.

Phenylethylamine

It is known as the "love drug" and is thought be be the reason why chocolate is said to be an aphrodisiac. It is a chemical that mimics the brain chemistry of a person in love, so when levels of phenylethylamine are high in the body it relieves depression from unrequited love. This is one of the reasons so many women love chocolate - it really is a mood elevator!

Oxytocin

It is a hormone that helps mammals bond.... In humans, oxytocin levels rise during childbirth, breast feeding and sex. Humans with higher oxytocin levels are more likely to trust other people..

Norepinephrine

Norepinephrine, also called noradrenalin, is the primary excitatory neurotransmitter needed for motivation, alertness, and concentration. Like a hormone, it travels in the bloodstream to arouse brain activity with its adrenalin-like effects.
Your brain requires norepinephrine to form new memories and to transfer them to long-term storage. This neurotransmitter also influences your metabolic rate.
